I hope all of you who were CMJing last week had a great week. The Whatever blog and TJO Presents unofficial CMJ party was a great success and so much fun! A big thank you to: Seryn, Aficionado, Pinebold, Wojick, Jim Archer, Adam Arcuragi and his band, Stephanie Carlin, Alyson Greenfield, the awesome staff at Bar Matchless and everyone who came out to Bar Matchless on Saturday.
The next Whatever blog show is on Nov 1st at the Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg Brooklyn, Christopher Paul Stelling, Howth, The Yes Way and Tall Tall Trees play that show. The cover for that show is $8, doors are at 7:30pm and the Cameo Gallery is located at 93 N. 6th Street directly behind the Lovin' Cup Cafe in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Next Monday is Halloween and being a huge musical theater nerd I'am I listen to the soundtrack to "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" a week or so before Halloween it helps me get into the Halloween mood. Well imagine my excitement when I typed the words "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" into Spotify and I found that not only does Spotify have "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" soundtrack but it's the soundtrack with audience participation! The version of TRHPS soundtrack that Spotify has,was recorded at a screening of the film way back in the day and it's pretty much the soundtrack plus people yelling all the things you are supposed to yell at the screen when viewing "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and it makes the listening experience all the more better!
To get you in the Halloween mood, posted below is the clip "Sweet Transvestite" from the original film of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and not a clip from that awful watered down version of the TRHPS that "Glee" did.
