The Detroit Cobras, Des Roar and Baxx Sisis at the Bellhouse

As mentioned, last night I went to see the Detroit Cobras at the Bellhouse and it was so awesome! My concert buddies at this show last night were Haley Wojcik from Wojcik and her really cool girlfriend Heather.

Des Roar from Brooklyn opened the show with their unique brand of punkobilly/Iggy and the Stooges like rock. Des Roar got myself  and the rest of the crowd going with such songs as "Ted Bundy Was A Ladies Man" and "Not Over For Me" I was very impressed with Des Roar  and felt so inspired seeing their female drummer up on stage rocking out.

Baxx Sisis were the next band up and they too got me and the crowd going and did not disappoint. Baxx Sisis' sound was straight up ""Let It Bleed" style rock and roll with some elements of Clash like 3 cord punk . Baxx Sisis' keyboard player totally reminded me of John Entwistle of the Who in the way that he played his keyboard, much like Entwistle he looked totally unassuming and totally disinterested in what was going on around him but watch his fingers go!

Finally The Detroit Cobras took the stage and Rachel, Mary and crew played a pretty fucking awesome set last night complete with two encores. During the second encore Rachel pulled a  lucky audience member on stage to help her sing "Ya Ya Ya (Looking for My Baby)" it was so beyond!

Below are my pictures from last night.
